As I was went walking through the neighborhood last evening, thinking about my upcoming work week and all of the tasks that I needed to accomplish over the next five days, I was struck by all of the holiday decorations and ornaments on the lawns of my neighbors. A nice festive and heartwarming reminder of what I consider to be the most spectacular time of the year. I also reflected on the past year. How did it go by so quickly?

We know that the next year will fly by, because they all do, but with only greater speed. Again, 12 months from now, we will be asking ourselves how this year, also, went by so quickly? This should be a reminder that we all should slow down, relax, and enjoy the holidays. We need to make it a priority to spend treasured time with our family and friends, sharing memories and catching up on the important things happening in everyone’s life. I’m also reminded at this time of year to take a special moment to remember those who may be experiencing sorrow or loneliness due to personal losses of love ones or difficult times.

I wish everyone a special and happy holiday season and may everyone have a healthy and prosperous 2019!
