Margaret Amsden - International CPA

Margaret is a shareholder in the firm’s tax department and is highly regarded for her teaching & coaching skills, and passion for the accounting profession.

What is your area of focus?

As a point person for domestic tax strategies at Clayton & McKervey, I interpret tax legislation, working proactively with clients so they realize the best possible tax advantages. As clients focus on operating, growing and selling their businesses, the tax team and I stay abreast of ever-evolving federal and state tax legislation to determine if and how these changes impact an overall tax plan. To keep pace with the need of growth-driven clients, I’m committed to cultivating a culture of learning among clients, colleagues and tax team members.

How long have you been at Clayton & McKervey?

Since 1999

What is the favorite part about your job?

Taxes are fun, and I appreciate their inherent challenges and opportunities.
