Whether business or personal, we all know that technology is profoundly changing our world. We have personally witnessed how many of our clients have needed to adapt to these changes. This technological evolution not only effects our clients, but us as well, influencing almost all aspects of our business. And the industry leaders continue to remind us that these advances will only accelerate as we move into the future. Although daunting, I find it exciting to explore the possibilities change creates for our staff and our clients.
In thinking of technology and what lies ahead of us, I am reminded of the quote from Bill Gates – “We always overestimate the change that will occur in the next two years and underestimate the change that will occur in the next ten. Don’t let yourself be lulled into inaction.” I think of this often because as we are told about the changes that are forthcoming, how we function today probably isn’t any different than yesterday, or how we operate this month is not likely much different than how it was last month. But what Bill Gates notes is that advances and changes are occurring all of the time, much like the unseen speeding current below the surface of a lazy river.
As a result, at Clayton & McKervey, we continue to be devoted to learning and adapting to the new technologies that affect our clients and staff. We have a diverse group of professionals reviewing and testing new programs designed to help our staff provide more value and efficiencies to our clients. We are all excited at Clayton & McKervey to participate in this exciting change.
