Clayton & McKervey, an international accounting and business advisory firm servicing growth-driven middlemarket companies, announces the appointment of Shareholder Teresa Gordon, CPA, CGMA, to the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce – Detroit (SACC) board of directors.  Her appointment was approved during the chamber’s January 2017 board meeting.

Teresa joins 13 directors from metro Detroit who have Swedish heritage, a connection to Swedish businesses with the U.S. or an interest in Sweden and American relations.  She will serve as the association’s treasurer.

According to Clayton & McKervey President Rob Dutkiewicz, “Teresa leads Clayton & McKervey’s Foreign Direct Investment group, a dedicated department supporting foreign expansion to the U.S.  With our strong focus on Europe, it is exciting to see Teresa assume a leadership role within the SACC. We appreciate the work of the chamber, and are proud to be a part of the organization’s future,” he said.

The SACC Detroit is a regional chamber under the national organization – SACC USA, formed in 1988 to enhance trade, commerce, and investment between the Detroit region and Sweden.

Those with business ties to the Detroit Metropolitan Region and Sweden are invited to join this networking group of professionals. SACC-USA is a non-profit membership organization at the regional, national, and international level, and includes 19 regional Chambers across the U.S. The SACC-USA assists with invaluable knowledge of the business culture, regulations and market conditions.
