Planning for a Transition

I hope that everyone is enjoying their spring. Though a day this time of the year in Michigan can feel like any one of the four seasons, there is nothing quite like the feel of a pleasant spring day; the colors, smells, and the newness can uplift any spirit, especially after a long winter.

I have often said that we are so fortunate to work with some of the best clients in the world. What they do is incredible, delivering cutting edge products and valuable services to others around the world, while employing and providing for so many families. It is quite impressive to see their entrepreneurial spirit in action. However, there does become a point in time for all businesses to transition. Quite often this means a sale of the business to a third party. That is why I hope that you will be able to join us on any one of our live videos taking place this spring on the complexities for business owners in planning for a transaction of the business.

To address this need, we are proud to be partnering with the Michigan Manufacturers Association in a four-part series on selling your business. This series covers a wide range of issues around a transaction, from working on your business early to maximize value, to the essential period of what to do after the business transaction is closed. We understand that for most, their greatest asset is the private business that they have worked so hard to build, nurture, and grow.  This series is to help you maximize the value of what you have created. I hope that you will be able to join us for this exciting program.
