Week 1

After leaving C&M last summer to return to GVSU to finish my 150 credits, I’m back and so excited to be rejoining the firm. Unlike last summer when I was working in the SME department, I’ve joined the Assurance Department as a full-time staff.

Since participating in the Reach Beyond Event back in 2017 I’ve been drawn in by the staff and the firms core values. Everyone at C&M is so approachable and easy to talk to and after interning I learned that everyone is more than willing to help you in any way that they can.

Since I was fortunate enough to complete an SME internship with the firm last summer, C&M is truly what I expected it to be! The firm stands true to their values and someone is always able to guide you towards a solution.

One thing that surprised me was how much I was able to learn through the assurance training during week one. Having a pre-existing knowledge of how the systems worked allowed me to focus on that new content which will be very helpful going forward.

I am looking forward to how much I will learn and be introduced to within the first year at C&M. I am thrilled to be back with the firm and I cannot wait to grow with everyone around me.

Month 1

After being back for a month, which has zoomed by, my experience being back with the firm has been wonderful. Everyone has been so willing to help and I cannot stress enough how excited I am to continue to learn and be a part of the firm.

The thing I like best about working at C&M is the individuals that the firm is comprised of. We have a great team of leaders who are willing to go above and beyond to help you succeed in everything you do.

One moment that really stands out for me was the Christmas Party hosted at the Ford Piquette Plant. The venue was one of the most unique locations I’ve ever been to for an event and being able to experience that with the team was a great time.

All in all, I’ve had a wonderful first month back with the team. I’ve been able to get back on track during this time and I’m excited to see what the future holds.
