As president and managing shareholder of Clayton & McKervey from 2012 until his untimely passing in 2016, Kevin was well-respected within the business and economic development communities for his vision and innovative, results-oriented leadership style.
Kevin joined the firm in 1990, and is credited for building an international practice and leading the firm’s overall growth. He filled Clayton & McKervey with talented and hard-working professionals passionate about the success of the firm’s clients, and the organization. He attributed this success to a shared commitment to help middle-market companies grow and compete more effectively, domestically and internationally.
Over the years, Kevin lead the charge to support the work of the economic developers, chambers of commerce, bankers and business associations dedicated to building this vibrant sector. He ensured that the firm was a reliable resource to accounting and law firms in need of specialized expertise with foreign-owned companies doing business in the U.S., or domestic firms expanding globally. While the majority of his time was focused on leading the vision and mission of Clayton & McKervey, he enjoyed working with newly established subsidiaries that needed help navigating highly complex tax and accounting issues.
When asked, Kevin would state that the favorite part of his job was the process of creating a culture that values helping others succeed, personal and team performance, a can-do attitude, and fun.
